Role Overview

We are seeking a committed and spiritually mature Associate Pastor – Youth and Teenage Ministry to lead and develop our youth and teenage ministry. The successful candidate will deliver safeguarding-aligned discipleship, mentorship, skills development, and early-intervention support for young people, particularly those navigating integration challenges, peer pressure, and cultural transitions.

This is a pastoral leadership role requiring a strong balance of spiritual guidance, youth engagement, safeguarding awareness, and practical mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate youth and teenage ministry programmes aligned with church’s vision and doctrine
• Deliver biblical teaching, discipleship, and mentoring for young people
• Provide early-intervention support for young people facing social, cultural, or peer-related challenges
• Develop and implement skills-building and empowerment initiatives for youth
• Ensure all activities are fully compliant with UK safeguarding policies and best practices
• Build strong relationships with families, schools, and community stakeholders where appropriate
• Support wider church activities including services, outreach, and pastoral care
• Identify, train, and mentor youth leaders and volunteers

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum 2:1) in any discipline
• Recognised Theology Certificate (mandatory)
• Proven experience in a similar pastoral or youth ministry role
• Strong understanding of safeguarding policies and working with children/young people
• Demonstrated ability to mentor, disciple, and support young people
• Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to the doctrine and values of Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide

Desirable (Advantageous)

• Previous experience working with young adults and teenagers
• Demonstrated UK experience working with young people (education, church, or community setting)
• Background in youth work or community development
• Experience working within multicultural or diaspora communities
